Alpha Barbers came to Chriate to develop them an online presence. As an established barber they had existing branding and already had a strong personality.
To get visuals for the website and to showcase Alpha Barbers personality, Chriate also completed the photography of the barbers in action and the beautifully styled interiors.
When planning the website with the Alpha Barbers team we landed on a strategy that was best for the user interface. While there was some information that applied to all stores and the Alpha Barbers brand, each store also had individual content. We created the landing page where users can first select which store they are interested in. The website then provided only the relevant times, prices and details.
Using WordPress for the content management system, Chriate developed a custom theme so that services, prices and media could be updated with ease. Pages to house media and promos could simply be added and would be displayed in the correct styling without any additional development. Systems like this can be managed by the client but can also be used maximise time when going on a maintenance plan with Chriate.
Visually we wanted to create an online presence that brought the real life personality you see at an Alpha Barbers store. The photography was a large part of this and is featured throughout the website, it is used as part of the landing pages and headers but we also included a gallery because Alpha Barbers wanted to showcase their shops and Barbers which are such a big and important part of the brand.
